How to Stay Healthy this Winter

With winter just around the corner we need to up our game to help keep the bugs outside.

There are a few options when trying to boost your family’s immune system. Here are just a few ideas on how to get ready and to try and avoid getting sick during the next few cold months.


Let’s start with the basic stuff.


Nutrition.

If your kids enjoy a balanced diet then they are already on the right path to staying healthy. Nutrients from a balanced diet is better absorbed by the body.

Water.

Make sure your children continue to drink water during the winter months. It may be a little bit more difficult, but it really does make a difference.

Exercise.

Kids enjoy playing outdoors. Take advantage of that and let them get as much exercise as possible. Enough oxygen and energy will do wonders for their bodies.


Keeping clean.

Be sure that the entire family wash their hands often and for at least 20. Check that the kids wash their hands after they played outside, before mealtime and after their visit to the bathroom. For extra protection, keep a hand sanitizer next to your basin just to be more sure.
