Preparing your family for Winter!

The winter is basically here and we have to get ready for the cold months that are ahead of us.

Making sure that your family is ready, health-wise & warm enough is Mom's job.

Be sure that you stock up on all the necessary ingredients for yummy, hot comfort food. Warm meals can be so comforting when being cooped up indoors.

Give your family an immune boost by adding some extra Vitamins to their daily meals. Whether you choose supplements or food, either is good to give your kids a boost.

Hopefully by now you have updated their closets with warm, fluffy clothes to keep them warm throughout the day and night. Because, lets face it....they grow up so fast, last season's winter pjs probably don't fit them anymore.

If you opt for an electric blanket, please ensure that it is safe at all times. Be sure to check that it is still in perfectly good working condition.

Make sure that your family to stay well hydrated. Cold weather inspires us to drink hot cocoa and coffee, but we still need water, especially with increased physical activity.

Handy Tips During Winter Season

Encourage kids to avoid people who are obviously sick with a cold or the flu.

Teach your kids the correct 'cough etiquette'. Teaching children to turn their heads and cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue or the inside of their elbow if they don't have a tissue, instead of simply coughing or sneezing onto their hands, which will then spread their germs onto everything they touch.

Colds and the flu are caused by viruses, not by being outside in the cold. Of course, if your child is playing outside with someone who is sick with a cold, they may very well get sick too. Being underdressed in cold weather still isn't a good idea, though.

Dress kids appropriately for the cold weather, typically adding one extra layer to whatever an adult would wear to be comfortable. Kids should wear several layers of loose-fitting, light, tightly woven clothing under a heavy jacket to keep them warm.

Our range of bath salts are perfect for cold winter nights. With such a wide variety of fragrances to choose from, including Winter Menthol, our Kaleido Breeze etc, you are spoiled for choice.

The whole family can enjoy a relaxing, warm bubble bath when the rain is pouring outside.

Stay warm, Stay safe, Stay healthy!
